Brian Yaun

Youth & Discipleship Director

Brian Yaun

Brian Yaun is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God. He has been married to Cathy for over 27 years, and they have three wonderful children: Brad and his wife Jenna, and Brandon. They embarked into full-time ministry in 1991 and spent over twelve years in Florida, serving the Church of God as youth pastors, music pastors, associate pastors, and senior pastors. In 2002, they were called into state leadership and have served as Youth and Discipleship Directors for the states of Arizona and Kentucky prior to this appointment in Tennessee.

Discipleship and evangelism are vital components of the Yauns’ ministry, and they strive to impart a compassion for the lost and a love for missions into the hearts of the children and youth whom they serve. They believe in identifying God’s calling on this generation and engaging with those chosen of God through mentoring. Both of these goals are essential in developing future church leaders.

Cathy Yaun

Girls' Ministries Coordinator

Cathy is a follower of Christ who counts it all joy to serve as a wife, mother, minister, and educator. She and Brian have been married since 1988. They treasure time with their sons, Brad and Brandon.  Brad and his wife, Jenna, created a new dynamic for the Yauns as Mimi and Papa, one of their most favorite roles ever!

Cathy currently serves as the State Girls Ministries Coordinator here in Tennessee, and she has also served in the same position in the states of Kentucky and Arizona, respectively. One of her greatest joys in ministry occurs every summer in the Church of God Youth Camp program, which makes an eternal impact in the lives of youth and children.

For Cathy, service and ministry extend beyond the walls of the church. Cathy began her public-school outreach as a Spanish and English teacher in 1994 and considered her work in public education as a daily mission field. For several years, she taught English as a Second Language and worked with students from countries all over the world. She currently serves as the Director of Curriculum Development for Lee University Online as well as an academic advisor and English instructor.

A gifted speaker, Cathy seeks to impart Christ’s ability and desire to break the bondage of insecurity, fear, and doubt that plagues many of today’s Christian women and teen girls. Above all, she strives to share the message of salvation and hope to a lost and dying world through her words, actions, and deeds.
