Why This Project?

YWEA (Youth World Evangelism Action) is the ministry that allows the youth and children of the Church of God the opportunity to fulfill the discipleship challenge of the Great Commission.

From Athens to Samos Island, the natural beauty of Greece has been overshadowed debilitating challenges. The neglect of the most basic needs of life, the displacement of thousands of refugees, the power of drug addiction, and the lack of biblical training, has left the country of Greece in a challenging situation. The Youth and Discipleship Department, along with Church of God World Missions, has accepted the challenge and developed a multi-part plan. YWEA is committed to providing a safe place on Samos Island that will offer hope, love, and peace. We won’t stop until every Muslim refugee has been introduced to the name above all other names, Jesus. In Athens, we will strengthen outreach ministry for those bound by drug addiction, and we will develop a ministry training center to equip the next generation. YWEA25 will re-write the narrative of Greece and remind them just as Paul did centuries ago, that they are God’s children. This generation will no longer turn to a substance or be consumed by fear, but they will turn to an ever-present help, Jesus.

Why do they need our help?

The YWEA 2025 project is an incredible opportunity to re-write the story of Greece and see the lost found, the addicts set free, and young leaders developed to bring eternal change to those who call Greece home.

YWEA is committed to making an eternal investment in the lives of students throughout Greece. On Samos Island, we will build a ministry center that will offer food, meet basic needs, and offer an eternal hope. In Athens, we will strengthen the ministry of the Hope House. Also, we will build a ministry center in Athens that will disciple young leaders and release them to bring hope to the streets that are filled with addiction and hopelessness.

Through YWEA 2025, Church of God Youth and Discipleship, in partnership with Church of God World Missions, has developed a plan to provide Greece with necessary resources that will have a multi-generational impact to reach the Last, the Least, and the Lost.
